What types of payment are accepted?

We can accept payment for the full amount by credit or debit card. Payment can also be spread over a year by direct debit.

  • Credit card: a small extra charge is made to cover transaction costs.
  • Debit card: there is no extra charge made for paying the whole amount by debit card.
  • Direct debit: a deposit is required to cover the first few months of cover then the remainder is spread over ten monthly payments. A small interest charge is added to the price.

Do you offer a range of insurers?

Yes. Your details will be checked against a wide range of major UK insurers who will offer quotes that fulfil your specific needs. The number of quotes customers are offered will vary because different insurers have different requirements and specialisms.

Will I be charged immediately?

It depends what suits you best. If you pay by credit or debit card you will be charged at the time you submit your policy. You can opt to make payment easier by spreading the cost over a year with Direct Debit payments.

What is 'no claims bonus' (NCB)?

For each 12 month period that you remain claim free you will be awarded a discount. The longer you go without putting in a claim the bigger the discount will be. Your NCB will not be accepted if it expired more than 2 years before the start of your new policy.

What is "protected no claims bonus" ?

If you choose to protect your NCB you will be able to make a certain number of claims without your NCB being affected. For full details please refer to your policy wording.

What excess will I have to pay?

The excess you pay in the event of a claim varies according to many factors - among them your insurance company, where you live, your age and your driving record. Most insurers have a compulsory excess which customers have to pay, then the option of including a voluntary excess. That means you take responsibility for paying a larger proportion of a claim and pay a lower annual premium in return.
