What types and ages of bike are stolen most?

- The theft rate for motorcycles is 37 per 1,000 registered in the UK. The rate for cars was only 10 per 1,000.
- Motorcycle theft fell 5% between 2001 and 2003. For the same period, car theft fell 23%.
- 40% of motorcycles stolen are recovered. For cars; 79% are recovered.
