A woman who had sustained serious head injuries in a car crash had been abandon by the side of the road by the other parties involved in the collision.
The 45-year old woman involved in the crash between a Vauxhall car and a flat-bed Ford Transit van in Coventry on Saturday 22 August later died of her injuries. Two other men both in the late twenties and were taken into custody for questioning over the matter.
Both were arrested on Sunday 24 August and on was release on bail pending further inquiries and a vehicle has been detained in connection with the accident.
Police suspect that the ford van was stationary at the time of the crash and that the car driver left the scene and drove into Whitmore Park Road leaving the woman on the pavement. Police are urging any witnesses to come forward and help with their investigation.
