Vehicle crime reduced with the use of buses

In a bid to prevent vehicle crime in the Derbyshire area, Derbyshire Police and Crimestoppers are placing advertisements on to the back of buses.

The adverts, that display the crimestoppers contact telephone number (0800 555 111), are urging people who spot any suspicious activity or suspected offenders to report it.

In the last two months, Derbyshire Police have already reported a fall in offences. Thefts from vehicles fell from 920 to 846 and thefts of vehicles from 371 to 347. The period covering April and May saw a fall of 98 offences, compared to the same period in 2008.

Protect your vehicle from theft with vehicle insurance from Insure My Vehicle providing commercial vehicle insurance to UK businesses.
