Uninsured vehicle causes collision

Compensation has been awarded to a driver who received whiplash to his back and neck, minor head injures and a bruise to his ear, which later resulted in tinnitus, after his car collided with a truck and rolled over on the M1.

The truck, which did not have any insurance, was driving along the M1 in South Yorkshire when parts started falling off and colliding with the claimants’ vehicle, which hit the central reservation and over turned.

The claim had to be intimated to the Motor Insurers’ Bureau, where the claimant received £18,500.
