UK car industry to introduce electric vehicles

A new initiative to introduce more electric and hybrid vehicles in to the UK has been announced by The Technology Strategy Board.

£10 million will be invested to support ten research companies in the studies of developing carbon efficient electrical systems for vehicles under the UK government backed system.

Not only will the introduction of carbon efficient electrical vehicles enable the UK to meet climate change targets but it will also boost the UKs vehicle industry, creating more job opportunities and boost the economic crisis.

A company has already been signed up for the development of light weight batteries for the advancement of small electric vehicles.

Insure My Vehicle can provide you with vehicle insurance to cover you against vehicle theft, fire and 3rd party accidents.
