Texting at the wheel is increasing insurance costs
A recent survey has found that despite harsher penalties motorists are still using phones whilst driving. One in two drivers have seen other motorists texting and a third admitted to doing so themselves. By having 3 points on your license your insurance bill will rise by approximately 10 percent, 25 percent with 6 points and up to 50 percent with 9 points. You should never use your mobile phone whilst driving unless you have a hands free kit. Not only will you receive points on your license and a large fine, you are also endangering other people’s lives, even if you are only taking your eyes off the road for a split second.
