Stop using your mobiles whilst driving

On Tuesday 27th February 2007, The Road Safety Act introduced the ban of using mobile technology whilst driving, however statics show, nearly 2 years later that people are still breaking the law, making them four times more likely to have an accident.

Figures released by police in the Thames Valley for 2008/2009 show that they have already found 5,292 drivers breaking the law and in the past 2 years 11,000 have been charged. These figures are very similar across the country.

A woman was sentenced to 21 months along with a three year driving ban after she caused death by dangerous driving whilst texting at the wheel. The woman hit a stationary car, killing a 24 year old who was fixing a flat tyre.
