Following the Governments Electric Vehicle incentive scheme, which was announced earlier this month, Renault has announced its Electric Vehicles, which are due in 2011, are going to be priced at the same level as their diesel equivalent.
The scheme that has been introduced by the Government, named the Whitehall grant, means that buyers could receive up to £5,000 off the cost of a new Electrical Vehicle (EV).
In 2011 Renault are looking to launch an EV Van and also a car version of the Kangoo, but the first will be based on the Renault Megane saloon. These vehicles will be charged overnight at home, or whilst your at work. Discussions are also being held nationwide over drive in battery transfer stations, which would involve swapping your flat battery for a charged one.
