Redundancy-hit commercial vehicle insurance customers

Commercial vehicle owners that have been made redundant over the past few months could be set to help improve the used van market. This is down to the ex-workers who have been forced to become self-employed this is also set to help boost the liability and commercial vehicle insurance industry.

At least that is the opinion of British Car Auctions (BCA), which has claimed that improving sales and values in the market is likely to continue as a result of the financial downturn.

Duncan Ward a BCA representative said, 'The wave of redundancies and closures we have seen … will result in many professional and trades people striking out on their own.'
