The general manager of Ford of Britain announced an increase in ford car prices from the 1 April. The price will increase by £1000. He believes that they are not ripping off the public. They would rather make a good profit on one car than making a loss on 1000 cars.
The Ford boss believes that 95 of major car manufacturers will follow suit. Last year Ford increased its prices by an average of 4.75 percent and in April it will go up a further 3.75 percent.
The government will be announcing its new scheme in the budget next month. The government will encourage all manufactures to give money back to the buyer by buying their old car. The hope is that greener cars will be sold which will not only help our environment but our pockets too.
