Nissan have revealed their new economic and wallet friendly commercial vehicle, which has already had the Institute of Transport Management (ITM) award it the Van of The Year 2010 title. The NV200 is now available to van drivers around the UK for a cool £12,090 for the basic model, this price can be lowered to as little as £10,090 using the scrapage scheme if a van older than 8 years is traded in.
The NV200 has a 1.5 litre diesel engine capable of 54mpg, making it the best in its class for CO2 emissions. These two figures alone provide potential buyers with more than enough reason to buy the van, not only is it cheap to buy but it will provide years of cheap travel which could be costing triple in an older or larger engined van.
As with any vehicle additional upgrades are available, which include, glazed rear doors, air conditioning and a safety pack, none of these extras exceed £1000, yet another reason that puts this van in its time.
