Motorbike insurance left obsolete

Following the Operation Take Care initialised by police across the country to raise awareness of the dangers of motorcycling on the roads and to keep drivers alert to motorcyclists, they had hoped that the number of motorbike accidents would fall.

However just weeks after its launch, Robert McHutchinson only 36 was at the centre of a multiple car crash on A7 near Harwick on the Scottish Border, leaving his motorbike insurance redundant.

Police identified the motorbike rider who suffered fatal injuries after his head on crash in the morning of Saturday 8 August. Three other people were also involved in the crash where eight cars collided with each being reduced to a heap of scrap metal, however despite the injured being taken to hospital none have lost their lives.

Following the crash the road was closed for six hours as police removed the wreckage and conducted a full investigation into the pile-up; accordingly all vehicle insurance providers had also been notified.

Insure My Vehicle provides motorbike insurance and vehicle insurance for motorcyclists and car owners acknowledging your legal requirement to obtain car insurance but removes the laborious process in acquiring it.
