Most reliable van of the year given to Ford

From a survey of over one million vehicles Ford has been deemed to be the most reliable of them all,m after receiving the award for Britain's most reliable van manufacturer. Another boost for Ford is that the Transit van also took home for the third year running the most reliable van award, while the Transit connect came in at third place.

The award was given by surveying cars and commercial vehicles used by leasing and contract hire companies from multi marque fleets. The companies would then rate the vehicles on the amount of breakdowns per 100 of each model. In total 1,023,000 vehicles where surveyed, 840,000 of these were cars and the other 183,000 were light commercial vehicles.

Britain's commercial vehicle director for Ford, Steve Kimber said: "Ford models have led the commercial vehicle market for 44 years. Their reliability record is of paramount importance, so I'm delighted by this Ford endorsement from top UK fleets."

This award is amongst many that Ford has received over the past year, cementing its place as Britain's most loved and now most reliable van.
