Former TNT Truck driver seeks £300,000 compensation
Former TNT truck driver Steve Jefford, 49, a grandfather of three nearly lost his life in a horrific five-lorry pile up in 2005. Mr Jefford had worked for TNT for 25 years.
The former truck driver who’s injuries resulted in his leg been amputated. If it wasn’t bad enough having his leg amputated he contracted the superbug MRSA while recovering from the accident. He has launched a battle for compensation seeking more than £300,000 for injuries suffered.
Mr Jefford lost his job following the accident and now works part time in an office owned by TNT. His case will be taken to the High Court in London later this year.
He has now taken up motorcycle riding, despite only having one leg. Mr Jefford said, “I was stuck at home after the accident, and needed something else to focus on and to aim for”.
