Fire fighters injured by thugs throwing stones
The 999 Emergency services are a crucial facility that deals with situations that can be fatal. So when two fire fighters suffer eye injuries when their vehicle’s windscreen was smashed by a gang of thugs it could potentially place another in danger, as they cannot respond to the call.
The crew were returning from a 999 call, which was a rubbish fire, when thugs started throwing stones at the fire trucks windscreen. The windscreen smashed and the two fire fighters were hit by pieces of the glass.
The two fire fighters required hospital treatment to remove the glass and were sent home to rest yesterday.
The attack happened just before 8 pm as they were returning to the fire station. A similar attack happed earlier this month in which the windscreen was also smashed by thugs throwing stones.
