The Pontypool fire crew were called out to a house that was flooding resulting in their fire engine being stolen by the homeowner.
The crew were called out to the property to remove floodwater. The crew said that the damage could have just been mopped up which annoyed the property owner. After this the women jumped into the fire truck and continued to reverse into a BMW and then into a brick wall.
An officer heard the engine being revved so ran out and took the keys straight out of the vehicle.
The lady has accepted responsibility for the accident and has received 240 hours community service along with a one-year driving ban.
The damaged caused to the engine resulted in the fire brigade being unable to attend a later 999 call.
