A farm diversification project will see a countryside caravan park almost double in size. The Tindles Hill site near Longhorsley has had the planning approved in order to help improve tourist facilities and boost the local economy.
The extension of the site includes 21 new pitches to be available on the site, which would increase the number of pitches for static caravans from 23 to 44. Roger Hindmarsh the farmer of the site says that the income generated from the site help pay for his farming machinery, and with the ever nearing Single Farm Payment scheme due to end in 2012 alternative income must be found for the farm.
