DVLA takes tough stand on licenses

The DVLA are cracking down on driving licenses. If you do not renew your photo card and counterpart of your license every 10 years you could face a fine.

The theory behind it is you have to renew your passport every 10 years so why should they not apply the same principle by forcing drivers to renew the photo on their driver’s license.

The DVLA will charge you £17.50 to renew the photo on your license. If you do not renew your license and you are stopped you could end up with a £1000 fine for failure to present the correct driving license.
