Could this be neighbours from hell?

The police will be introducing new rules early next year. The plans to get groups of 6 adults volunteers into groups and supply them with speed detection equipment to identify drivers that are breaking the road traffic rules

Police will contact rule breakers and issue them with a warning letter. After three letters drivers could face prosecution.

Volunteers will be trained to use radar guns and speed detection equipment. Warning signs will be put up to warn drivers they are being watched. It is believed that volunteers will be saving the council hundreds of pounds each year. They would not need to employ extra staff to do the jobs that the volunteers will be doing for free.

Many people feel this would be a violation of our privacy and our rights. It’s as if they will be setting one neighbour up against the other which in turn would cause major conflict in a community.
