Parents not practicing what they preach while behind the wheel of their car are having a detrimental effect on the way their children drive.
Government research has found that half of parents have admitted to poor driving and road safety while their children are in the car with them.
Telling their children to be sensible on the roads and use them safely is not enough, especially when they are seen on a daily basis not following their own instructions.
With 169 children killed and 3,000 seriously injured in road accidents last year, it’s a problem that could be reduced by parents themselves.
A series of school workshops are to be held in cities across the UK on road safety and are designed to give an insight for parents about how their behaviour on the roads is being passed onto their children.
