A tyre and exhaust centre has recovered their commercial vehicle after its disappearance on September 24 following a high speed vehicle chase.
The commercial vehicle, a red transit van, was stolen from the Whitby tyre and exhaust centre by Robert and Darren Price. The owners of the vehicle spotted the stolen van on October 1 and decided to follow it, after a while the driver of the vehicle, Darren Price noticed that he was being followed so decided to speed up.
Police joined the chase of the red van, driven by Darren Price; he led a chaotic chase before jumping into a white van, which was in convoy with the stolen vehicle. The red van then hit a brick wall, however the chase continued after the white van which was eventually stopped with a stinger.
Mr Price senior and Mr Price junior were both arrested and charged with dangerous driving, aggravated vehicle taking and driving without insurance.
