A commercial vehicle has been stolen after a burglary to a tradesman in Basingstoke. The Mercedes van contained around £3,000 worth of tools leaving the owner of the van with no way of carrying out work. The van was used by the owner for his main source of income and now has no means of transporting goods and no tools to work with.
The incident occurred between 9pm and 11pm, Thursday, October 29. It is apparent that the thief broke into the victims home using the back door where he was able to take his pick of what items he wanted from the home in Kings Furlong.
PC Kate Towerton, from the Basingstoke police said: "This burglary has left the victim without his van and tools, which means he can no longer work in the lead up to an expensive time of year."
