Commercial Vehicle show is on the ropes
The commercial vehicle show, which is held at the NEC is expected to see the major truck and manufacturers return in 2011. But there are still doubts as to the size of the event, which will be dependent on the economic condition that the industry is in before the end of this year. The last show was in 2008 and as a result of the economic effects on the commercial vehicle sector the show for 2009 was cancelled. The stakeholders of the Commercial Vehicle Operator Show met last week to discuss whether the show would once again become an annual event. Organisers also discussed the possibility of alternating the show with the CV Operator-style show, which begins on the 13th of April. Manufacturers have expressed their conceals after fears that the 2010 sales figures for commercial vehicles will be lower than those seen in 2009. Some also believe that 2011 will be worse still forcing organisers to cancel the show altogether in 2012.
