Car industry can recover

Lord Mandelson announced that car manufacturers can survive if they make the right decisions now. His announcement comes after a meeting with EU leaders in Brussels.

Companies could recover if they cut back production and only make what they need to instead of oversupply and over production of vehicles. Sales in the UK is down by 59 and commercial vehicles is down by 71.6 however the government are in the process of deciding to offer financial incentives to anyone buying a new car.

Car manufacturers are also being encouraged to produce more eco friendly models. He has urged car manufacturers not to cut their skilled workforce and to make more effort in their research and development in their plant and products.
