Audi have been awarded the inaugural What Car? and Thatcham award for vehicle security.
The award is based on Thatcham’s new vehicle security ratings (NVSR) and new vehicle security assessment (NVSA) schemes. The award recognises the effort and advancement that manufacturers have made in anti-theft devices and technologies overall and predominately in the last 12 months.
Even though it was Audi that scoped the prize, the NVSA results show that the most progressive manufacturers are committed to improving security not only for the car itself but also for the items within the car.
The award acknowledged the manufacturer which scored highly with the widest range of their models and variants against the requirements of Thatcham’s NVSA.
