Ambulance hit by speeding van
A paramedic has been awarded compensation after a horrific road accident. The paramedic was in the passenger seat of the ambulance when a van driver crashed into him. The van driver was speeding and went through a red light when he crashed into the ambulance.
Although the paramedic was wearing his seat belt, he suffered major injuries to his shoulder and required two operations. After the accident he was unable to return to work for some time. When the man did return to work he was only able to undertake light duties.
Due to the injuries the paramedic sustained and the impact it had on his life he was awarded £62,856 in compensation.
